Last updated October 10, 2026
Key points
- Your core tools still work. Calculator, account and billing remain available whether you accept or reject optional cookies.
- No session replay. Automatic form capture, session replay and advertising trackers are disabled.
- Reject does not mean zero measurement. Basic cookieless public-page measurement continues, unless a supported privacy signal disables it.
Plain-language highlights. Read the full details below, including applicable exceptions and rights.

Cookies, your choice
We use essential cookies to keep LayerWorth working and basic cookieless measurement on public pages. Accept analytics cookies for additional product analytics, or reject optional cookies. Your calculator and account work either way. See what we collect.
Saved choice: not selected. Browser privacy signals can disable both browser analytics modes.
Referral cookie
If you chose to remember an affiliate referral, it lasts 7 days from your first visit. It is separate from analytics. Clearing it stops pending referral attribution; completed payment records remain.
Your choice
We use essential cookies for login and preferences. Before you choose and after you reject optional cookies, basic cookieless measurement counts visits to public pages without storing analytics identifiers on your device or linking activity to your account. Accept analytics cookies to enable additional product analytics and filtered browser error reports. Your calculator, account and billing work either way.
You can change your choice here at any time. Withdrawal stops future account-linked browser and request-based product events; it does not automatically erase events previously received. Basic cookieless public-page measurement continues. Contact privacy@layerworth.com for a data request.
The versioned preference cookie lasts 180 days and is host-only. Staging and production remember separate choices, as do browsers and devices. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable both browser measurement modes. Updated consent wording can require a new choice.
What accepted analytics collects
PostHog receives explicit page and feature-use events, plan and billing-interval choices, browser/device metadata and filtered browser error reports. Signed-in activity can be linked using the public support account ID prefixed by staging or production.
Application filtering removes names, emails, passwords, raw exception messages, calculator costs and prices, secret values, URL queries and record IDs from tracked routes. Session replay, heatmaps, automatic form capture and advertising trackers are disabled.
Essential storage
Starting an affiliate application saves your answers in this browser for up to seven days to preserve them through sign-in and email verification. An essential seven-day HttpOnly cookie prefills your email and name on authentication pages. This storage is used to complete the application you requested, independently of optional analytics. Saved answers are cleared after submission or when an expired draft is revisited.
Authentication/session cookies keep you signed in. Seven-day signup cookies carry your selected plan or return you to an affiliate application after email verification. Appearance settings are stored in the browser, and a currency cookie remembers your public calculator choice for up to a year. The analytics-choice cookie remembers consent without enabling tracking.
When accepted, PostHog stores analytics identifiers in a host-only cookie and browser-local storage namespace, separated for staging and production, with a 180-day cookie lifetime. Rejecting optional cookies clears those LayerWorth analytics entries on this browser and returns public-page measurement to cookieless mode.
Affiliate referral choices
Affiliate links offer a separate choice to remember a referral. If accepted, a host-only referral cookie expires seven days from the first visit. It does not enable PostHog analytics, and accepting analytics does not create a referral cookie. Entering a referral code at checkout can associate the referral directly with your verified account.
Use Clear referral preference below to withdraw pending referral attribution. Reject optional cookies also requests referral withdrawal on this browser and signed-in account. Completed payment and commission records remain for legitimate operational and accounting purposes. No advertising pixels, session replay, or automatic form capture are enabled by the affiliate program.
